Abstract:In order to solve the disadvantages of traditional anti submarine patrol aircraft searching like short working range, wide blind area, low accuracy and high cost, an efficient method of anti-submarine patrol aircraft searching based on multi bases sonar was presented. According to multi-bases sonar array, getting the preliminary position coordinates of submarine. Then anti-submarine patrol aircraft add passive buoys with four different ways, using acoustic attenuation principle and TOL (time-only-localization) through Matlab to run multi bases sonar searching probability and GDOP location simulation. Experimental results show that under the same condition, using equilateral triangle way to add passive buoys, anti-submarine patrol aircraft perform in better searching probability and high location accuracy, and it can create an effective detection cycle by using a few buoys. The method can be applied to anti submarine patrol aircraft checking and searching and it has some significance on anti-submarine warfare.
