Aiming at the shortcomings of the maintenance task analysis (MTA) method in equipment maintenance resources forecasting, maintenance task Petri net (MTPN) is proposed to describe the equipment maintenance process. Based on Petri net theory, combining with the equipment maintenance process feature, taking the maintenance of certain type equipment hydraulic mechanism as an example, the MTPN model is established, and the types and quantity of maintenance resources required for maintenance work are obtained. The example shows that the description of the equipment maintenance process is clear and intuitive, and the type and quantity of equipment maintenance resources required are accurate and detailed.
