Abstract:In order to study the characteristics of air resistance experienced by skier, an experimental measurement method for resistance characteristics has been designed in the wind tunnel. While measuring the air resistance of skier by balance, the windward projected area of skier is obtained by image acquisition and processing, and then the corresponding resistance coefficient is calculated. The skier simulated different postures in the wind tunnel and obtained the data of each posture. The experimental result shows that the air resistance and resistance coefficient decrease as the human body changes from standing to squatting, and the resistance characteristic of the half squatting is the most stable and the resistance coefficient is small. This method can provide reference and guiding for training.
